Featured Teachers
Here is a list of the ‘teachers’ that provided me with tools and techniques which allowed me really get to know myself. The real me. They helped me identify at a base level which ideas, actions, activities, places, people and objects that were most meaningful to me.
They helped me discover my unique gifts and talents. They helped me understand and see how much happier I would be if I was fully expressing them in the world. They encouraged and supported me to build a life centred around them.
The following teachers helped me understand how important it was to create a vision for my life. They explained that when a clear intention is mentally rehearsed and emotionally experienced as if it has already taken place, then it would be made manifest in the world.
I learnt that you don’t have to accept and respond to the circumstances you were born into. The teachers in this section explained the logic behind intention setting, creative visualisation and mental rehearsal. They taught me practical and powerful methods that worked.
I found that when I was able to see beyond my current reality and used my imagination to emotionally embrace circumstances I’d always yearned for, something shifted and I began to experience similar situations in my day-to-day life to what I’d been envisioning.
I soon learnt that ‘wishful thinking’ is a positive thing. It is one of several actions within the manifestation process. Living in alignment with the person I wished to become was another, and the next step I needed to take.
The following teachers helped me identify the distractions I used to fill up my life. Distractions were my way of avoiding disappointing myself and others. I used them to avoid being seen as a failure. These teachers taught me simple and effective techniques to overcome my fears as well as feelings of guilt and obligation. They gave me practical steps to take to eliminate the things from my life that no longer served me.
This section is about creating a framework for building a life in which you are free to be yourself. The teachers referenced below gave me exercises to discover the activities I loved, the people that inspired me, and objects that reflected me. By filling my life with things, people, ideas, words, thoughts and activities that energised and expressed ‘me’, there was an inner shift and my outer world began to change. My day-to-day experience of life became more fulfilling and joyous, and exciting opportunities began to open up.
The following teachers helped me understand that it was my subconscious programming – a whole bedrock of beliefs I’d accepted to be true about life – that was keeping me stuck and feeling helpless when it came to making changes to my life circumstances. They provided me with simple and effective techniques to discover my subconscious beliefs and then change them.
The teachers in this section brought life’s language to my attention. They taught me that the universe is constantly communicating with me. Sending me signs, signals and clues to point me in the right direction. They provided me with tools to interpret the messages I was receiving, so that I could act on them.
The biggest lesson of all I needed to learn (as a self confessed control freak) was that there is no need to pummel a desired outcome into existence through planning and strategising. In other words, I needed to let go and detached from the outcome.
According to my teachers, all I needed to do was the inner work to cultivate the right conditions and let life have its way. When you completely surrender, it will then come, or something like it, or something different that’s even better than you imagined.
